Adesola Oresile from Nigeria
Before I arrived at Worcester, I had envisaged I would be just fine because of the support I had received from my course adviser and the University. The follow-up was thorough, and it made me feel reassured about my place at the university. As an International student, I am always reminded of the University’s support and access to different beneficial services and engaging activities.
I would describe Worcester as a friendly city with serene, clear blue skies. I remember meeting up with total strangers on my first day, and they were willing to show me around. It is hard to get lost at Worcester; I understand this is one of the most important factors for international students.
The Nigerian Society at the 51ÊÓƵ is thriving. Being the chair has given me a solid community with other students, not limited to just Nigerian students, with opportunities to connect, reach out, and be part of a forward and supportive group. This has reduced any feelings I had of being lonely. Worcester has given me deeper insight and boosted my morale and boldness to try new things.

Claire Akaeze
My name is Claire, and I am an international student from Nigeria enrolled at the 51ÊÓƵ. Being a Nursing student can be very demanding, and I was very nervous to leave my home country to study in a place where I didn't know anyone or have family.
UoW is such a diverse and beautiful place to study, I still receive regular support from the staff and students. Everyone is super friendly and eager to help.
Worcester City is a lovely and peaceful place to reside, it is simple to get around town by walking or taking the bus.
I could go on and on, so all I would say, is... I am happy that I have found a home away from home.
